Getting Started

If you are ready to try out Unsubscribe for Gmail, just sign in with your Google account. You can also easily install it by going to the installation page on the Google Workspace Marketplace.

Install the add-on

You can skip this step if you want to use the web version of the tool. The process of installation is straightforward. Click the install button, and give the necessary permissions for it to run. We adhere to EU's GDPR.

Where to find the add on?

You can always access the tool at app.unsubscribeforgmail.com.

In case you have installed the add-on in your gmail account, you can access it directly from the sidebar of Gmail. At the far bottom right of the sheet you will see a left/right arrow. Click on that to show (or hide) the sidebar.

Do your first scan

Once installed, it is time to do your first scan.

  1. In the main menu, go to the Scan Inbox page, and click on Start scan
  2. The scan will start, this could take several minutes up to an hour depending on the number of emails in your mailbox.
  3. After the scan is completed, the subscriptions will become available in the subscriptions page.
  4. You can select one or multiple subscriptions to unsubscribe, block, or keep!

Contextual Information

In addition to scanning your mailbox, Unsubscribe for Gmail can also scan a specific email. This will happen automatically when the add on is opened in the sidebar while a single email is opened in Gmail. The add on will show unsubscribe options in case it has detected that the email is a subscription. In case the email is a subscription, it will be added to the subscriptions overview of the add on.
