About us

Codemoon consists of two independent software engineers in the Netherlands who value online freedom and privacy. We focus strongly on usability and simplicity of everything that we develop. The less you need to think, the better.

Since 2022 we are building add ons for Google Workspace. We have launched 4 add ons so far.

All of our software runs on Google Cloud Platform, which means the data will not have to traverse the internet in a lot of cases. Two of our add ons, Clean Inbox for Gmail™ and Unsubscribe for Gmail™, passed a security review (Google CASA) before it was published on the Google Workspace Marketplace.

GDPR

All data that is processed or accessed by us will not be shared with others. Data that we do not have to store will not be stored. Based in the EU, we uphold the 7 GDPR principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity & confidentiality and accountability.

Open Source

When building Hide My Email for Gmail™, we experimented with SimpleLogin from Proton to forward emails and enable email aliases. This turned out to be a lengthy and cumbersome process. We decided to completely automate it using ansible so deploys on varying infrastructures would be repeatable, consistent and less error-prone. We have published a guide about how to selfhost SimpleLogin for people who are into self hosting on Github. We are also actively considering to opensource the software behind all of our add ons.
