You Can Now Delete Your Account From the Add-on
We believe you should have full control over your data — including the ability to delete it whenever you want, without having to wait for anyone. That is why we have added a self-service account deletion option directly inside the add-on.
Previously, deleting your account required sending an email to our support team. Now, you can do it yourself in just a few taps.
How It Works
- Open the add-on and go to Account
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm your decision
That's it. If you have an active subscription, you will see an additional confirmation letting you know that your subscription will be cancelled.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:
- Subscriptions — all scanned email subscriptions
- Aliases — any email aliases you created
- Gmail filters — all filters created by the add-on are removed from your Gmail
- Settings and preferences — your configuration is wiped
- Active subscription — cancelled automatically if you have one
Your Google OAuth access is also revoked, so the add-on can no longer access your Gmail after deletion.
After Deletion
Once your account is deleted, you will see two options:
- Uninstall from marketplace — removes the add-on entirely
- Start fresh — creates a new clean account if you want to come back
Why This Matters
Data privacy is not just a checkbox for us — it is a core principle. We already don't store your email content, and we never share your data with third parties. Giving you the ability to delete your account instantly and completely is a natural extension of that commitment.
Privacy first
Unsubscribe for Gmail sells none of its user data, even anonymized. You're the customer, not the product.
